Odd Lot Entertainment has picked up the pitch “Imaginary Larry” from Amy Rardin and Jessica O’Toole, with the writer of “Legally Blonde” attached to produce.
Rardin and O’Toole will write the story, which details the world of a young boy and his imaginary friend. When the boy grows up, Larry is banished to a secret world. There, he bands with other discarded pals and sets out to regain the attention of his creator.
Kirsten Smith, who wrote “Legally Blonde” and “10 Things I Hate About You” with her partner Karen Lutz, will produce “Imaginary Larry.” Odd Lot principals Gigi Pritzker, Deborah Del Prete and Patrick Aluise also produce.
Odd Lot VP of development Linda McDonough brought the project into the company and will serve as associate producer.
O’Toole and Rardin recently set up their comedy pitch “Modern Bride” at Disney.
Odd Lot is producing “Hello Charlie” at Warner Bros. Pictures and is developing the psychological thriller “Trap for Cinderella” with director Iain Softley.
