Pushing synergy to the limit, Disney has reserved one timeslot on all of its owned-and-operated broadcast properties this Sunday to hype its upcoming swashbuckler “The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.”
Promo, which runs more than two minutes, is set to air at 8:15 p.m. on ESPN, ESPNews, ESPN 2, ESPN Classic, Soapnet, Lifetime, Lifetime Movie Network, Lifetime Real Women, A&E, the History Channel, E!, Disney Channel, ABC Family and on ABC during “The Wonderful World of Disney.”
Ad will also run simultaneously at non-network properties, including Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort hotel rooms and on Disney cruise lines.
Based on one of Disney’s most popular theme park attractions, “Pirates” sets sail July 9. Jerry Bruckheimer produces the Gore Verbinski-helmed pic, which stars Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush and Orlando Bloom.
