HOLLYWOOD — Olivier Martinez will play a detective alongside Angelina Jolie in “Taking Lives,” which Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow are set to start shooting this week in Montreal.
Gena Rowlands will also join the cast in an undisclosed role.
Rowlands and Martinez join Jolie, Ethan Hawke and Kiefer Sutherland in the pic.
Frenchman Martinez, who will next appear in this summer’s “S.W.A.T.,” has won Stateside notice for his roles in “Unfaithful” and “Before Night Falls.” He most recently starred in Showtime telepic “The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone.”
“Taking Lives,” which is helmed by D.J. Caruso, follows Jolie as an FBI profiler hunting for a serial killer who assumes the identities of his victims.
Producing are Mark Canton, Bernie Goldmann and David Heyman. Shepherding for Warners are execs Lionel Wigram and Jessica Goodman.
Both Martinez and Rowlands are repped by ICM.
