LeSieur to baby ‘Twins’ for WB, Bing

Scribe also sold sales convention comedy to New Line

Screenwriter Michael LeSieur has been hired for a low-six figure sum to pen “Twins,” (aka “It Wasn’t Me”) for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Pic, to be produced by Steve Bing, is a high-concept comedy about a man who creates an imaginary twin brother. Project is based on an original idea by Bing. Pic is being overseen at WB by VP of production Polly Cohen.

LeSieur has also sold an untitled comedy pitch to New Line. Pic, which has yet to find a producer, is a comedy set in the world of sales conventions. Project will be overseen at New Line by senior VP of development Kent Alterman, Michele Weiss, director of development and creative executive Keith Goldberg.

LeSieur, who is repped by UTA and Kaplan/Perrone, also penned “Ballad of Paul Finley, Accountant” for New Line which Big TV is onboard to direct. That pic is being produced by John Lyons (“Austin Powers”) and is a broad comedy about a criminal who has a teenage pen pal love interest who breaks him out of jail.
