Jane Fonda is pondering two projects for a potential bigscreen return.
Fonda has expressed interest in starring as a strident and difficult mother-in-law in New Line’s “Monster-in-Law,” a romantic comedy in which Jennifer Lopez is negotiating to star. Minimajor bought the spec from scribe Anya Kochoff last February for $1.3 million against $2.3 million. That pic is being produced by New Line-based production shingle Benderspink, but former Barry Levinson producer and longtime Fonda pal Paula Weinstein is also expected to come aboard to produce.
The CAA-repped Fonda is also interested in appearing in Cameron Crowe’s new film.
Fonda won Oscars for her perfs in 1978’s “Coming Home” and 1971’s “Klute” and was nommed for seven Academy Awards, but has not appeared in a film since MGM’s 1990 Robert De Niro starrer “Stanley and Iris.”
