Duff ‘Perfect’ enough for U Pix, Platt Prods.

No. 1 singer on album chart furthers film career

Hilary Duff is attached to star in “The Perfect Man” for Universal Pictures and Marc Platt Prods.

Based on life stories of Heather Robinson and her mother, Janet Robinson, lighthearted comedy concerns a teen and her single mom. U optioned an original script by tyro scribes Michael McQuown and Heather Robinson, but the studio is now out to writers.

Producing with Platt are Susan Duff and Dawn Wolfrom. Platt exec Adam Siegel brought it into the company. U veep Holly Bario oversees the project for the studio.

Duff, who’s managed by Curtis Talent Management, has the No. 1 album with her debut “Metamorphosis,” according to SoundScan figures. She stars in the upcoming “Cheaper by the Dozen” for 20th Century Fox and “A Cinderella Story” for Warner Bros. Pictures and Gaylord Films.
