Maria Bello will star opposite Johnny Depp in “Secret Garden” for director David Koepp and Columbia Pictures.
John Turturro also has been cast in the adaptation of the Stephen King novella “Two Past Midnight: Secret Window, Secret Garden.”
Pic is the story of a recently divorced writer (Depp) who is licking his wounds at a remote lake house when he’s confronted by a psychotic (Turturro) who accuses him of having stolen his best idea for a story.
Koepp, who adapted the script, also produces the film with Gavin Polone’s Pariah.
Col co-prexy of production Matt Tolmach and theatrical production exec Rachel O’Connor oversee the project.
Bello, repped by CAA and manager John Carrabino, next will be seen opposite William H. Macy in “The Cooler.”
