COPENHAGEN — Swedish director Lukas Moodysson’s “Lilya 4-ever” scooped five statuettes at Sweden’s Golden Bug film awards, the local equivalent to the Oscars, in Stockholm on Monday.

The film, about a 14-year-old Russian girl’s decent into prostitution in Sweden, grabbed feature, director, original screenplay (Moodysson), actress (Oksana Akinsjina) and cinematography (Ulf Brantås).

It is Sweden’s nomination for inclusion in the Oscar foreign lingo race.

Michael Nyqvist won actor kudos for Kjell Sundvall’s “The Guy in the Grave Next Door”; Cecilia Frode got supporting actress for Måns Herngren and Hannes Holm’s “The Reunion”; and Göran Ragnerstam scooped supporting actor for Peter Schildt’s “Suxxess.”

Stefan Jarl’s “The Bricklayer” and Mårten Klingberg’s “Victor and His Brothers” won for documentary and short, respectively.

Finnish director Aki Kaurismäki’s “The Man Without a Past” won foreign film honors. Cinematographer Gunnar Fischer received a life achievement award, while the 2002 Ingmar Bergman prize went to veteran director Vilgot Sjöman.
