Oken going indie, to continue consulting Mouse

Stuart Oken, executive vice president of Disney Theatrical Prods., will leave his post at the completion of his contract in June to launch independent projects.

During the following year, he will serve as a consultant to the theatrical division.

Oken joined Disney shortly after the Gotham premiere of “Beauty and the Beast” in 1995, beginning as a VP of creative affairs.
