Maurizio Carlotti, the new CEO of Spanish broadcaster Antena 3, has firmed up his top management team at the terrestrial web.
Javier Bardaji, former director of communications at rival Telecinco, has been tapped as the net’s director of content. A3’s director of management will be Silvio Gonzalez, the erstwhile general manager of Spanish telco ONO.
Giorgio Shampato, who worked as a Citigroup general manager in London and New York, has become general manager, coordination. Braulio Calleja, who ankled recently as director of analysis at Telefonica Contenidos, has been appointed A3 director of communications.
The team has no well-known political affiliations, giving substance to Carlotti’s declarations that one of his priorities will be to nurse A3 back to profitability.
