HOLLYWOOD — Jumping outside to enjoy the summerish heat wave that hit the week ended April 21, people cooled on daytime TV.

Thanks to record high temps in much of the Northeast, all 10 veteran yakkers were down or flat compared with the last ratings period. “The Montel Williams Show” dropped 12% to a 2.2, its worst Nielsen household marks in its 10-year syndie history.

Also falling were top-tier efforts “Oprah” (5.2, down 4%), “Live With Regis and Kelly” (3.3, down 3%) and “Maury” (3.0, down 3%). “Jerry Springer” (2.6) and “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” (2.2) were unchanged.

Down from last year

Many of the top yakkers were below where they were this time last year, including “Oprah” (down 5%), “Live” (down 15%), “Maury” (down 6%), “Jerry Springer” (down 30%) and “Montel” (down 21%).

Elsewhere, only one gaveler, “Divorce Court” (2.6, up 8%) perked up from where it was the previous week. Everyone else lost ground, including “Judge Judy” (5.3, down 5%), “Judge Joe Brown” (3.1, down 6%), “Judge Greg Mathis” (2.2, down 4%), “Divorce Court” (1.9, down 10%) and “Judge Hatchett” (1.6, down 11%).

In rookie action, “Texas Justice” (1.8, down 10%), “Weakest Link” (1.8, down 5%) and “Crossing Over With John Edward” (1.8, up 6%) all tied for first place. But “ElimiDate” (1.6, flat) beats the freshmen in key demos adults 18-49 (1.0) and 18-34 (1.2).
