'Deeds,' 'Osbournes' take top honors

Amid deafening screams and flashing cameras, teenyboppers feted their favorite music, film, TV and sports stars Sunday at the Universal Amphitheater. Fans at Fox’s Teen Choice Awards celebrated the likes of Britney Spears and ‘N Sync.

On the film front, Adam Sandler accepted choice summer movie for “Mr. Deeds,” while Mandy Moore prevailed in the breakout performance category for “A Walk to Remember.”

Event was also a family affair, with brother and sister Jack and Kelly Osbourne of “The Osbournes” wiping out the competition for best reality show. Small-screen families of “7th Heaven” and “The Bernie Mac Show” collected their surfboards as a cast. Choice female artist Spears shared the limelight with little sis Jamie Lynn to present kudocast’s final award to Tobey Maguire for “Spider-Man.”

Actress-turned-pop thrush Jennifer Love Hewitt performed her latest single, “BareNaked,” with Nelly and BBMak providing additional entertainment. Ja Rule, Usher, ‘N Sync, Nelly and Ashanti garnered music awards.
