Pierre Cardin’s Palais Bulles in nearby Theoule-sur-mer was the star of Saturday night’s MTV/MGM party to celebrate James Bond’s 40th anniversary and latest flick, “Die Another Day.”
The 25-room ’70s-style futuresque villa was decked out in colored lights and MTV laser logos practically visible from Cannes.
The spry and elegant Cardin told Variety he bought the digs eight years ago and flies down from Paris on the weekend.
One enters the villa, which is all curves and ovals, by descending into a giant amphitheater facing the sea. There’s a hilltop infinity pool, a rabbit warren of undulating hallways and rooms and a garage that was big enough to turn into a casino.
Pierce Brosnan and wife Keely Shaye Smith dropped by after midnight and joined revelers who danced the night away to music by Soul II Soul.
