At the “Path to War” post-preem party Thursday at the Highlands, HBO Films topper Colin Callender said, “This is a story about how America goes to war. You have to imagine that a lot of the scenes in this movie, although they happened between 1964 and 1968, are happening again right now in the White House. This film is staggeringly relevant to what is going on right now.”
He added, “This movie is Frankenheimer DNA: part personal drama, part political intrigue, part war story.”
Among those at the El Capitan unspooling were director-exec producer John Frankenheimer and cast members Tom Skerritt, Michael Gambon, Felicity Huffman, Sarah Paulson andJohn Valenti, who portrays his father, MPAA topper Jack Valenti, in the pic.
