Prod'n supervisor on many Dick Clark productions

Ron Carpenter, a production supervisor who worked on numerous Dick Clark productions, died Dec. 6 of heart failure in Santa Monica, Calif. He was 42.

Beginning in 1993, Carpenter worked on many of Clark’s productions including “The Golden Globe Awards,” “The American Music Awards” and “The Academy of Country Music Awards.”He also worked on numerous “Bloopers”specials, “25 Years of #1 Hits,” “The Family Television Awards,” “The Soap Opera Digest Awards”and “The Disney Teacher Awards.”

Before joining Dick Clark Prods., Carpenter held production positions on “The Joker’s Wild” and “The Love Connection.”

He is survived by wife Linda, two daughters as well as his parents and three sisters.
