HOLLYWOOD — Kidvidder Nelvana has named Toper Taylor prexy of international distribution, marketing and consumer products.
He will be responsible for Nelvana brands available in more than 200 countries through broadcast, licensing and merchandise sales activities.
Taylor remains prexy of Nelvana Communications, Nelvana’s Los Angeles-based sales and development office, and he will continue to report directly to CEO Michael Hirsh.
Nelvana, producer and distributor of children’s programming and products, is owned by Canuck media and entertainment company Corus.
“Toper’s 13 years of important contributions have helped make Nelvana one of the world’s leading production companies and a fixture in the U.S. television market,” Hirsh said.
Taylor is the architect of Nelvana’s event television, bringing together some of the greatest names in children’s publishing (including Maurice Sendak, William Joyce, Rosemary Wells and Stan & Jan Berenstain) as well as Hollywood notables (such as Tim Burton, Alicia Silverstone and Frankie Muniz) to create quality programming for audiences worldwide.
Before Nelvana, Taylor was a television packaging agent for the William Morris Agency and held public relations positions with Norman Winters & Associates.
