Friedin directs himself to BKWU

Rep to focus on scribes, helmers

Tenpercenter Sean Freidin is making the jump to Broder Kurland Webb Uffner.

BKWU has hired Freidin, formerly with Paradigm, as an agent focusing on TV directors and writers.

He’ll bring along many of his clients, including helmers Adam Bernstein (“Scrubs”), Michael Spiller (“Sex and the City”), John Heath (“The Guardian”), J. Miller Tobin (“Oz”) and Alex Zakrzewski (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”). Also moving with Freidin are scribes Vito Viscomi (“The Andy Dick Show”) and “Late Show With David Letterman” writing duo Gabe Miller & Jonathan Green.

“We know Sean will be a terrific addition to BKWU because of his maturity, excellent taste and demonstrated ability to successfully guide his clients’ careers,” said Ted Chervin, a partner at BKWU. “He’s shown that he fits in exactly with what we’re about here.”

In addition to its long list of big-name scribes, BKWU has carved out a niche by repping a slew of prominent TV helmers, including James Burrows (“Will & Grace”), Pam Fryman (“Just Shoot Me”) and Alan Coulter (“The Sopranos”).

During his nearly five years at Paradigm, Freidin headed the tenpercentery’s TV directors department. He began his career in 1994 at the Irv Schechter Co.
