Scribes Dan and Sue Paige have sealed a two-year overall deal at Universal’s network TV unit. The Paiges, who most recently served as co-executive producers of ABC’s critical darling “Once and Again,” will develop comedies and dramas for the studio.
“Dan and Sue are two of the most highly regarded emerging voices in television, and deservedly so,” said Sarah Timberman, president of programming at Universal TV. “Both their original work and their efforts on ‘Once and Again’ represent the kind of distinctive point of view and nuance of character that make for the best and most memorable television.”
Prior to “Once and Again,” the Paiges created and served as supervising producers on the WB laffer “Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane.” Credits also include ABC’s short-lived comedy “You Wish.”
The scribes are repped by the William Morris Agency and Craig Jacobsen.
