Moonves, Chernin will lead museum

New board to assist with outreach, funding, promotions

The Museum of Television & Radio has established a board of governors for the L.A. museum, enlisting News Corp. topper Peter Chernin, CBS prexy-CEO Leslie Moonves and Gordon Crawford, senior veepee of Capital Research and Management, to act as co-chairs.

Board will assist the museum in extending its outreach, securing funding for special programs and promoting participation in museum activities to members of the entertainment community.

“As we celebrate our sixth year in Los Angeles, the museum is positioned to play a more significant and integral role in the Los Angeles community, guided by the influential voices of this newly appointed board,” said museum prexy Robert M. Batscha.

“The museum’s unrivaled collection is a tremendous resource for this industry,” said Chernin, and the board provides an excellent means of introducing yet more colleagues to its assets.”

Members of the museum’s newly formed board include HBO chairman-CEO Chris Albrecht; USC School of Cinema-Television Dean Elizabeth Daley; Fox TV Entertainment Group chairman Sandy Grushow; USA Network prexy Doug Herzog; PMK/HBH CEO Pat Kingsley; WGA West prexy Victoria Riskin; Endeavor partner Rick Rosen; NBC Entertainment prexy Jeff Zucker; and thesps Andre Braugher, Amy Brenneman and James Woods.
