HOLLYWOOD — Saban co-founder and musical artist Shuki Levy and producer- choreographer Anita Mann have combined forces to establish a production-distribution outfit called LevyMann Entertainment.
The company, based in Beverly Hills, will make its debut at the Mipcom TV trade show in Cannes in early October.
With a goal of creating family-focused entertainment LevyMann will focus on projects with a strong musical foundation.
First up are “Itty bitty HeartBeats,” an animated musical series for young children, and a musical called “Masada,” a passionate love story in which hope triumphs over hatred. The score of “Masada” is composed by Levy.
Also in pre-production is “Beep Bop Babies,” a musicvideo show aimed at hip babies and their parents, and “7 Deep,” a hip-hop dance series for teens.
Levy and Haim Saban co-founded Saban Entertainment, and Levy is also a prolific composer, songwriter and performing artist.
Mann has been honored by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as one of the country’s top five contempo choreographers and is the recipient of five Emmy noms and one Emmy Award.
