Inside move: Peacock pumps ‘Dreams’

NBC to have 25 segs of the show to use this season

NBC is beefing up its commitment to frosh drama “American Dreams” and saying goodbye to a pair of regulars on frosh laffer “Good Morning, Miami.”

Industry insiders said the Peacock has ordered three additional episodes of the NBC Studios/Universal-produced “Dreams,” which has proven to be a solid performer for NBC Sundays at 8. Net last month ordered nine new segs of the show; as a result, Peacock will now have 25 segs of the show to use this season.

Elsewhere, two “Miami” regulars have been dropped from the skein. Tessie Santiago, who played a dumb Latina anchor, and Brooke Dillman, who played a nun/weathercaster, did not have their options picked up after NBC ordered the series’ back-nine.

It’s possible the two thesps could still pop up on a recurring basis.
