Island Def Jam Music Group has promoted four top execs, led by Matt Signore, who becomes co-general manager and chief financial officer of the Universal Music division.
Signore is joined in the exec suite by Randy Acker, who also becomes a co-general manager of IDJ.
Execs will report jointly to group CEO Lyor Cohen; exec VP and Def Jam/Def Soul prexy Kevin Liles; and exec VP and Island Records topper Julie Greenwald.
Pair will focus on both day-to-day operations and strategic planning at the label group, which tops the U.S. majors in market share at more than 9%. Signore was most recently senior VP of finance for IDJ, while Acker was VP of Def Jam/Def Soul under Liles.
Also getting the nod was former Island Records rock promotion veep Stu Bergen, who will now become executive VP of the imprint. Ex-Def Jam/Def Soul promotion veepee Mike Kyser will now be vice president at the urban music label.
