German-lingo ‘Producers’ set

The Alliance of Vienna Stages will present the first foreign-language production of “The Producers.” German-lingo version will debut in fall 2003. “The Producers” will be staged at Theater an der Wien, a Vienna institution that dates back to Mozart. Production will then travel to Germany.

AVS, which has established itself over the past 20 years as a leading producers of musicals, also announced a series of original productions planned for the next four years. They include a musical version of the Roger Vadim film “Barbarella,” scheduled for spring 2004, with rock stars Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox commissioned to write the music.
