Intermedia’s ‘Suspect’ nabs distrib’n partners

Par to handle domestic, Lakeshore to deal with int'l territories

Intermedia has found distribbing partners for “Suspect Zero,” a suspenser about a serial killer-hunting FBI agent who suspects the culprit may be his own colleague.

Paramount Pictures will handle domestic distribution, while Par-based foreign sales and production operation Lakeshore will take all international territories on the pic.

Aaron Eckhart, who next toplines in Par’s forthcoming “The Core,” and Oscar-winning thesp Ben Kingsley are in negotiations to star.

With a script by Zak Penn that’s been rewritten by Billy Ray, “Suspect” is being produced by Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner’s Par-based C/W Prods. and by Intermedia Films. Pic will be exec produced by Tom Rosenberg, Nigel Sinclair and Jonathan Sanger.

Lensing is expected to start this July in Santa Fe, N.M.

Eckhart is repped by CAA and manager Scott Bankston; Kingsley is repped by ICM.
