Winchester Films has sold Gavin Grazer’s heist comedy “Scorched” to RTL in Germany, Vertigo in Spain, RCV in Benelux and Egmont in Scandinavia.

Pic, which premieres Friday in the Cannes market, stars Alicia Silverstone, Rachael Leigh Cook and Woody Harrelson.

Winchester also has sold the pic in Israel, the Philippines, Iceland, Russia, Singapore, the Middle East, Indonesia, Portugal, Turkey, Greece, Brazil and Eastern Europe.

Winchester’s distribution arm will handle the U.K. release.

RTL’s Christian Simons commented, “We loved the script and the all-star cast. We think it will have broad audience appeal for all media, and we acquired it under the new RTL all rights strategy.”

Spanish film production house 42nd Street Prods. has clinched all U.S. rights deals on its first two productions — Isidro Ortiz’s “Fausto 5.0” and Ventura Pons’ English-lingo “Food of Love.”

Boutique distrib Vitagraph Films (“Audition,” “Everything Put Together”), the distribution arm of the American Cinematheque, has picked up U.S. rights on “Fausto 5.0.,” a futuristic take on the Faust myth, which won Eduard Fernandez a Spanish Academy best actor Goya.

TLA Releasing has closed the U.S. on “Food,” a tale of frustrated gay love which marks the English-lingo debut of Spanish auteur Ventura Pons.

The Spanish production subsid of Germany’s post-prod giant Das Werk, 42nd Street has taken equity on two international co-productions: Caroline Ducrocq’s psychological drama “The Lunatic Fringe” and Hugh Farley’s romantic comedy-thriller “She Died on Canvas,” which turns on a Barcelona-set love story between a journalist and a painter. The film is being moved by Ireland’s PuCan’s Films.

First Look Pictures will handle the U.S. release of “Local Boys,” a pic about two surfing brothers, in beach towns across the country. Directed by Ron Moler, who produced “Bachelor Party,” pic stars Eric Christian Olsen and Jeremy Sumpter. An August release is planned.

First Look Media acquired international rights to “Sandmother,” a coproduction between South Africa, Canada and Britain. Produced by David Pupkewitz and Koa Podolsky, pic is a horror story directed by Jason Wulfson and written by Gordon Render. Chris Roland and Izadore Codron are exec producers.

Vortex Pictures has added three titles to its Cannes lineup. Finished thriller “Emmett’s Mark” stars Scott Wolf, Tim Roth and Gabriel Byrne, while F/X pic “Skinwalkers” will be directed by Jason Isaac (“Jason X”). Also on the docket is “Leopold,” a drama now in post-production and starring Joseph Fiennes, Elisabeth Shue, Sam Shepard and Dennis Hopper.
