MDP gets ‘Inside’ Phillippe

Time-travel tale slated for lensing June 10 in U.K.

MDP Worldwide has inked Ryan Phillippe to star in the thriller “The I Inside” for director Roland Suso Richter. Production is slated to begin June 10 in the U.K.

Written by Michael Cooney, pic is the story of a man who, after a near death experience, awakens in the hospital with amnesia. In searching for his identity, he discovers that he has the power to travel back in time, change his future and solve the mystery of his brother’s murder.

Pic, directed by Roland Suso Richter, is a VIP Medienfonds 1/MDP Filmproduktion co-production in association with RCD/April Production. Producers are Rudy Cohen and Mark Damon. Executive producers are Andreas Schmid and Andreas Grosch.

MDP most recently announced that they had entered into a proposed investment and partnership with Neverland, an entity co-headed by singer Michael Jackson and film producer Raju Patel. The closing of the transaction with Neverland is still subject to approval. In addition, MDP most recently acquired international rights to “The United States of Leland,” directed by Matthew Ryan Hoge and starring Ryan Gosling, Don Cheadle, Chris Klein, Lena Olin, Michelle Williams, Jena Malone and Kevin Spacey.
