Morgan Freeman will star opposite Owen Wilson in “The Big Bounce,” to be directed by George Armitage for Shangri-La Entertainment and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Wilson will play a charming drifter who hooks up with a criminally minded beauty while trying to decide if he can trust a powerful local figure, portrayed by Freeman.
Scheduled to begin principal photography Oct. 28, “Bounce” is based on Elmore Leonard’s novel of the same name, with a screenplay adapted by Sebastian Gutierrez and Armitage.
Producing is Jorge Saralegui for Material, Armitage for Taormina Prods. and Shangri-La’s Steve Bing. Executive producers are Brent Armitage and Zane Weiner.
Freeman, who’s repped by the William Morris Agency, is currently portraying God in the comedy “Bruce Almighty” opposite Jim Carrey for Universal Pictures. He will next be seen in the Warners release “Dreamcatcher.”
