Brian Daly has been named VP of creative advertising for the Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group.
Daly will be responsible for working with vendors to create theatrical trailers, television and radio advertisements, as well as print campaigns for upcoming films such as Phoenix Pictures/Intermedia Films “Basic,” starring John Travolta and Sam Jackson and Revolution Studios projects including “Daddy Daycare,” starring Eddie Murphy.
Daly joined Col as a marketing consultant in January to develop creative material for Revolution Studios’ comedy “The New Guy.”
“Brian honed his skills in the agency world and his experience working on a wide variety of creative campaigns will be a great advantage to the studio,” said Josh Goldstine, senior exec VP of the department.
Before joining Columbia, Daly was a producer at Cimarron, where he helped create advertising campaigns for films such as “X-Men,” “Big Momma’s House,” “Runaway Bride,” “The World Is Not Enough” and “The Truman Show.”
