Dalton pegged to top Oz film org

Topper realigned AFC to develop projects, filmmakers

SYDNEY — Kim Dalton has been re-upped for a second three-year term as chief exec of government funded development org, the Australian Film Commission.

Dalton has restructured the AFC since being appointed in 1999, cutting back on marketing in favor of developing projects and filmmakers.

The AFC gets approximately $A18 million ($10 million) a year from the government and about $500,000 a year from returns on investment.
