Columbia puckers up for ‘Kisses’

Barrymore in talks to reteam with Sandler

“50 First Kisses” will be Adam Sandler’s next movie.

Sandler has inked a deal with Columbia to segue into the project, which has a spring start date.

Drew Barrymore is in negotiations to co-star, and no director has been tapped.

Sandler and his partner Jack Giarraputo will produce the romantic comedy, in which a man falls in love with a woman after a memorable encounter. However, he discovers that she suffers from severe short-term memory loss and has no idea who he is. To win her, he must get her to fall in love with him all over again every day.

George Wing’s script was rewritten by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel. Col exec VP Doug Belgrad oversees the production.

Steve Golin’s Anonymous banner will also be involved in a producing capacity.

Sandler, repped by Endeavor and Brillstein-Grey, recent released the animated “Eight Crazy Nights” through Col.

The Endeavor-repped Barrymore stars opposite Sam Rockwell in the upcoming “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.”
