SANTA BARBARA — The shortened, five-day 2002 edition of the Santa Barbara Film Festival wrapped Sunday with the following awards being presented:

World Prism Award for Best Foreign Film: “The Orphan of Anyang” directed by Wang Chao

Independent Voice Award for Best North American Feature without Distribution: “Made-Up” directed by Tony Shalhoub

Special Jury Award for Best Actress: Viveka Saldahl for “A Song for Martin”

The Fund for Santa Barbara Human Rights Award: “The Making of the Revolution”

Phoenix Prize for Best Feature that Salutes the Spirit of the ‘Outsider:’ “The Gatekeeper” directed by John Carlos Frey

Insight Award for Best Feature Documentary: “Black Box Germany”

Bruce Corwin Award for Best Live-Action Short: “Border”

Best Animated Short: “Black Soul”

Audience Award for Best Feature: “Bug” directed by Matt Manfredi & Phil Hay
