Cinegroupe, Film Roman in for joint programming

Cyberbiz Brief

Canadian animation house Cinegroupe and “The Simpsons” animation company Film Roman are pacting to create programming together.

No specific series are in mind yet. But the two are looking to jointly roll out a number of computer-animated projects on a non-exclusive basis over the coming year. The alliance will simply strengthen the companies’ ability to distribute their product to the worldwide TV marketplace, say executives.

Cinegroupe, which specializes in CGI-enhanced content, is producing animated/live-action hybrid “Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension.” Other credits include new kiddie series “Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat.” Film Roman is also behind “King of the Hill” and Saturday morning skein “X-Men: Evolution.”
