Twentieth TV ups MacDonald

Exec fills newly created post in basic cable sales dept.

HOLLYWOOD — Twentieth Television has upped Steve MacDonald from veep of basic cable sales to senior VP and general sales manager of basic cable sales.

In the newly created post, he will remain responsible for the licensing of 20th Century Fox’s library of movies, firstrun and off-network TV series to basic cablers. Based in Los Angeles, he reports to Gotham-based Bob Cesa, exec VP of advertising sales and cable programming sales.

MacDonald joined Twentieth in July 1995 as West Coast division manager.

“Steve has developed a unique talent to find new and creative ways to maximize our series and film libraries,” Cesa said. “His strong relationships with our cable clients and problem solving skills have helped Twentieth Television achieve record sales in 2001.”
