HOLLYWOOD — Fox Television Studios has reorganized its physical production unit, placing all oversight under Bob Lemchen.
Lemchen, who has been named head of physical production for the Fox-owned division, previously served as VP of production for FTVS’ Fox TV Pictures and Fox World.
In his new gig, Lemchen will continue to oversee physical production for those units, as well as Regency Television (the joint venture between FTVS and New Regency), Fox Alternative Prods. (FTVS’ reality TV arm) and Foxstar (FTVS’ non-fiction/documentary arm).
Lemchen first joined FTVS in 1998, soon after it was formed; his credits include supervising physical production on season one of FX’s “The Shield.” He reports to FTVS prexy David Grant.
“Producing quality shows that are also affordable is difficult in today’s studio environment, but Bob’s done it on a consistent basis across every genre, production locale or partner we could throw at him,” Grant said. “Putting all of our physical production into this one streamlined structure under Bob enables us to keep growing without sacrificing the responsiveness and responsibility our partners have come to expect.”
Under Lemchen, Bari Halle has joined as VP of production at Fox Television Studios. Halle, who most recently served as veep of production at Artists Television Group, handles production budgets and supervising personnel, equipment, service providers and production facilities.
Also, Shelley Lyons has been named VP of physical production at Foxstar; FTVS director of production Andrew Durham will handle production specific to Fox Alternative Prods.; and fellow director of production Sue Budgen will continue to handle matters at Fox TV Pictures.
