HOLLYWOOD — London-based Lego Media Intl. has bumped Conny Kalcher to a newly created senior job in brand management, overseeing some of the parent toy company’s biggest entertainment licenses, and named Vanessa Chapman as Kalcher’s successor, overseeing TV and film operations.
Kalcher becomes VP of global brand marketing of storylines, overseeing what the company calls a “brand portal” for Lego product lines targeting 4- to 11-year-olds, including its toy lines based on Star Wars, Harry Potter and Jack Stone licenses.
Chapman will move into Kalcher’s former roles as global controller of programming and strategy beginning next month.
Kalcher also will continue as exec producer of direct-to-vid feature “Bionicle: Mask of Light,” due out next year, and another Bionicle-based CGI feature skedded for 2004. Miramax Films is producing and distribbing both domestically.
