CDPQ joins United

Canuck investment company CDPQ has become one of the first firms to take advantage of a new co-production treaty with India.

CDPQ has taken a 33% stake in Indian television software and animation company United TV and plowed in an initial $13 million.

The Canadian company had to partly buy out international investment bankers Warburg Pincus’ share in United TV before getting the stake.
