Tiffani Thiessen has signed on for a three-episode arc of NBC’s Thursday hit “Just Shoot Me” — a role that could turn into a full-time gig.
Thesp will play a new sex columnist for the skein’s fictional Blush magazine, a character described as a cross between the roles played by Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall on HBO’s “Sex and the City.” If the show lives up to form, her character will likely have a romantic fling with Finch (David Spade.)
While Thiessen’s stint is currently a limited guest role, there’s a chance it could expand to become a recurring or regular part. Her segs will likely air in November.
Thiessen, who played backstabber Valerie on “Beverly Hills, 90210” during 1994-98, has been focusing on comic roles in recent years.
She had a recurring part on ABC’s recently ended “Two Guys and a Girl” and appeared in the Tim Meadows starrer “The Ladies Man.” She’s also set to appear in the upcoming untitled Woody Allen project starring Tea Leoni and Debra Messing.
Thiessen’s other feature credits include “Speedway Junky” and “Love Stinks.”
Before “90210,” Thiessen was an original cast member of the Peacock’s long-running Saturday ayem half-hour “Saved by the Bell.”
