‘Nuevo’ news show

World Brief

Telemundo has launched a primetime news and info show, “Nuevo Mundo: Una Nacion Unida” (A New World: A Nation United), in response to last week’s terrorist attacks.

Monday’s one-hour program replaces telenovela “Provacame,” starring singer Chayanne, which bowed only last week. The novela will be rescheduled.

“Nuevo Mundo” will air five days a week on Telemundo’s broadcast network and in Latin America on paybox Telemundo Internacional.

“If the show is well received, it could become a sort of ‘Dateline’ program for us,” a Telemundo spokeswoman said.
