Lux good bet for Channel 4 job

BBC exec may head arts and entertainment

LONDON — Danielle Lux, the BBC’s controller of entertainment commissioning, is reportedly in line to become Channel 4’s new head of arts and entertainment.

It is understood that Lux, 38, has been offered the job — recently vacated by Kevin Lygo, who is moving to Channel 5 to be that terrestrial’s director of programming — but is also in rescue talks with the BBC.

Should Lux jump ship, she will be responsible for arts and entertainment at C4 as well as C4’s new digital channel, E4.

Lux joined the BBC in 1998, and had been Granada TV’s head of youth, entertainment and kids programming.
