Luk Film bags Felix

World Brief

South Korean animation producer Luk Film will pact with U.S. animation company Felix the Cat Production today for co-production and joint investment projects.

Luk will gain the licensing rights in Korea for “Felix the Magic Cat” and equal partnership in animation projects with the U.S. company through 2020.

Their first joint project is feature-length digital 2-D animation “The Squishees.” The $5 million pic is scheduled for release this winter.
