Actor and tap dancer Gregory Hines has been tapped to host the Laureus World Sports Awards TV spectacular in Monaco on May 22.
The annual Laureus World Sports Awards, which celebrate sporting excellence across all disciplines and all continents, will be co-hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum.
The lineup of presenters for individual awards includes Prince Albert of Monaco, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta- Jones, Boris Becker, Dan Marino and Katarina Witt.
The entertainment culminates with a performance from LeAnn Rimes, who will sing live for the first time the Laureus anthem “I Dream,” and perform a selection of her hits.
Steve Redgrave, Michael Schumacher, Jenson Button, Cathy Freeman, Jennifer Capriati, Marat Safin and members of the French National Football team are among those nominated to receive a Laureus award and who will be attending this year’s ceremony.
