Duo shooting back

Gordon, Conn nab pact to create CTTV laffers

Former “Just Shoot Me” co-exec producers Andy Gordon and Eileen Conn have inked a multiyear, high-seven-figure development deal with Columbia TriStar Television.

Duo — who had been working under a joint three-year, $7.5 million deal with NBC Studios and Brad Grey Television — will create and produce primetime laffers for the Sony-owned studio. New deal reps a homecoming for the scribes, who spent two seasons as producers on CTTV’s “Mad About You.”

Gordon and Conn currently serve as exec producers of NBC’s David Alan Grier/Delta Burke comedy “DAG,” which they also created. They’ll remain involved with “DAG,” next season should the skein return.

“Eileen and Andy have proven their talents on one successful series after another,” said CTTV network television prexy Tom Mazza. “It’s my pleasure and good fortune to bring them back to Columbia TriStar.”

Said Conn: “We’re thrilled to get back to Columbia TriStar and work with Tom Mazza and Sarah Timberman, both of whom we’ve respected for a long time.”

Before their stint on “Just Shoot Me,” Gordon and Conn were supervising producers on “NewsRadio.” They also spent two seasons as scribes on HBO’s adult laffer “Dream On.”
