USA gets reality series

'Go For It' pits teams of youngsters

USA has picked up an original reality series for the pre-teen market called “Go For It!” Show will premiere Sept. 15.

The half-hour gameshow will pit teams of young participants against one another in a series of elimination round competitions. Professional and Olympic athletes, including Mia Hamm, Troy Aikman and Grant Hill, are set to appear to introduce the challenges and offer advice to viewers. Band 3rd Faze will perform a track from their debut album each week.

“Go For It!” is skedded to air at 8:30 a.m. and will unspool over 13 episodes.

Series is produced by Mandalay Sports Ent. — a division of the Peter Guber’s Mandalay family of companies — and Scott Sternberg Productions.

Based on HealthSouth’s “Go For It” roadshow, which has been touring nationwide for five years, skein is the first project developed under a brand marketing partnership between Mandalay and Health South.
