Sony Entertainment Television India is on the brink of major restructur-ing in order to contend with tightened market conditions in India and abroad.

The shakeout began with senior VP of programming Rekha Nigam, who quit along with 10 junior and midlevel officials.

A team from Sony Pictures USA, led by chairman of the SET board Michael Grindon, are visiting India to consider the fate of CEO Kunal Das-gupta and chief operating officer Rajesh Pant.
