Robert Forster, Kate Capshaw, Cybill Shepherd and young thesp Clara Bryant will topline the Showtime telepic “Due East.” Pic, about a late bloomer (Bryant) in a small Southern town who discovers love for the first time, will be directed by Helen Shaver. Connie Tavel and Steve Golin serve as executive producers with Shaver and Tricia Brock — who penned the teleplay — serving as producers. John Moser is creative executive overseeing the project for Showtime. The made-for is based on two books by Valerie Sayers: “Due East” and “How I Got Him Back.” Project went before cameras last week in Vancouver.
