Fern Cranston-Shapiro

Fern Cranston-Shapiro, a longtime employee of Warner Bros. Records, died Feb. 18 of cancer in Burbank. She was 67.

A graduate of the U. of Michigan, Cranston-Shapiro started out working at Frank Sinatra’s record label, Reprise.

In 1963, she joined Warner Bros. Records and became director of royalties. She was then promoted in 1982 to VP of royalties and licensing and worked up until her illness.

She is survived by her husband Norman, a sister, an aunt, a niece and four nephews.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or SPCA.
