Fox ups Hoffman to biz VP

Execs praise new co-worker

HOLLYWOOD — Paul Hoffman has been upped to VP of business affairs for 20th Century Fox.

Hoffman will continue to report to Fox’s executive veeps of business affairs Mark Resnick and Stephen Plum.

“We are delighted to have Paul on the team,” Resnick and Plum said in a statement. “He is a very effective negotiator and an excellent attorney. He has a wealth of business experience gained in key positions he has held during his career. This promotion is well deserved and reflects the great job he has been doing for Fox.”

Hoffman joined 20th Century Fox in February 1997 as counsel in the production legal affairs department. He was promoted to senior counsel in December 1999. In May of 2000, he moved from legal affairs to be a director of business affairs.

Prior to joining Fox, Hoffman was a partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips in the bankruptcy and creditors’ rights department. He clerked for the Honorable Chief Geraldine Mund, United States Chief Bankruptcy Judge of Central District of California.
