Marceau parlays hand to helm

'Parlez moi d'amour' to star Godreche, Dutronc

PARIS — Thesp Sophie Marceau will make her screenwriting and helming debut with “Parlez moi d’amour” (Speak to Me of Love), sources at StudioCanal-owned production company Les Films Alain Sarde said Monday.

The female lead will be played by Judith Godreche, while Jacques Dutronc is tipped to star opposite her.

Marceau, recently seen in “Belphegor, Phantom of the Louvre” and, the James Bond film “The World Is Not Enough,” has wanted to turn her hand to feature filmmaking for some time.

“L’aube a l’envers” (Dawn in Reverse), a short film she made in 1995 starring Godreche and Vincent Perez, screened at Cannes.
