Toyota to market Camry with CD

2002 edition touted with disc containing tunes, interactive tour

NEW YORK — Carmaker Toyota has commissioned an enhanced CD that includes songs from Jennifer Lopez, Lyle Lovett, the Go-Gos and Earth, Wind & Fire as part of a multimedia marketing push for its 2002 Camry.

Along with the music, disc includes exclusive interviews with the artists, an interactive tour of the car, TV commercials for the Camry and links to Web sites for both Toyota and the featured talent, all of which can be accessed via a computer’s CD-ROM drive.

Together with an eight-page text insert profiling the artists involved, the CD, to be produced by Pasadena-based firm Disc Marketing, will be distributed in seven Conde Nast magazines in October.
