Concert will pay tribute to Lennon and benefit the Violence Policy Center and the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
TNT’s Master Series showcases individuals who have influenced popular culture. It bowed in 1998 with a tribute to Burt Bacharach, and has gone on to honor musicians like Johnny Cash, Bob Marley and Joni Mitchell.
“John Lennon’s music career and legendary persona embodies the very essence of the TNT Master Series,” said Sandy Shapiro, exec producer for TNT. “Celebrating Lennon’s life and work with performers who have all been influenced by him will make for an unforgettable evening.”
Concert will be produced by Tisha Fein and directed by Ron De Moraes. Ken Ehrlich and Yoko Ono will co-exec produce the event.
